The Kim Possible Disney Channel Original Movie will have one of its biggest stars back from the original series as Nancy Cartwright will once again play the lovable Rufus.
In the video below we get to see where Ron meets Rufus and then we get to see the behind the scenes work of Nancy voicing the character. Nancy also gets to give us her take on character of Rufus and how he is so important to the team and the audience.
Emmy® and Annie Award-winning voice actress Nancy Cartwright (“The Simpsons”) will reprise her role as the voice of fan-favorite Rufus the Naked mole-rat in the upcoming live-action “Kim Possible” Disney Channel Original Movie, premiering FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW. The veteran actress voiced the role in Disney Channel’s “Kim Possible” animated series (2002-07). Cartwright has played the iconic Bart Simpson on the animated series “The Simpsons” for over 30 years.
Everyday teen hero Kim Possible (Sadie Stanley) and her best friend Ron Stoppable (Sean Giambrone) embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-heroes ever imagined. With Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends on Team Possible—Ron, tech-genius Wade (Issac Ryan Brown), new friend Athena (Ciara Wilson), and Rufus, a Naked mole-rat—to stop these super villains!
Make sure to tune in to the premiere of the movie on Friday, February 15th on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW to hear our favorite companion Rufus, the Naked mole-rat. We think Sean Giambrone, playing Ron Stoppable, is going to have to rely on his friend Rufus to get through this adventure in the Kim Possible live action movie.
