We will get our first look at Fast Layne on Friday, February 15 after Kim Possible with the series premiere on Sunday, February 17 at 8:00pm ET/PT, but until then we have gotten a new promo poster to get everyone excited. We get to see “VIN” and Layne in the poster and we are amped to find all about the both of them. The rest of the cast also looks like they will be quite interesting with Travis Braun creating the series and serving as co-executive producer. Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard are executive producers and worked on one of our favorite Disney series, Even Stevens.
Twelve-year-old over-achiever Layne finds her orderly life thrown into a tailspin when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named “VIN” hidden in an abandoned shed. With the help of her eccentric neighbor Zora, Layne embarks on a high-speed adventure filled with secret agents and other surprises as the girls set out to unlock the mystery behind VIN’s creation. When VIN needs some mechanical attention, Layne enlists the help of Cody, a smart and charming boy who works in his Abuelo’s garage. Layne also navigates prodding questions from her younger cousin Mel, a nosy survivalist-in-training who is determined to uncover her secret.
The cast of the show includes: Sophie Pollono as Layne Reed, Sofia Rosinsky as Zora Morris, Brandon Rossel as Cody Castillo, Winslow Fegley as Mel, and Nate Torrence as VIN.
This is a miniseries that is geared toward the younger crowd (age 6 -11) which is great as that age group (tween) can use a funny action adventure series. We look forward to seeing the cast in the miniseries and how this will push their career forward as most of them have not appeared in a series for this age group.
