This is the Food Network competition that we didn’t know we even needed. Buddy Vs. Duff just makes perfect sense as they host some of our favorite family shows on the Food Network channel. When you think of cakes these are the two people who come to mind and we each have our favorites in the house with Buddy from Cake Boss and Duff from Ace of Cakes even though they both do more shows on the network.

This six-week competition will test their techniques, design skills, and taste in two rounds per episode. Sherry Yard and Keegan Gerhard will be joined by special guests that include Florian Bellanger, Street Science’s Kevin Delaney, Flip or Flop’s Christina Anstead, Hannah Hart, Waylynn Lucas, Penn & Teller, Gesine Prado, Fast N’ Loud’s Richard Rawlings, Aarti Sequeira, and many more.
In an epic competition to end the greatest feud in baking history, Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman go head-to-head in a series of challenges befitting their extraordinary expertise. They start with a bake-off testing their dessert skills of all kinds, and then they head into the cake-off, where the chefs and their assistants try to out-do one another with over-the-top creations like a classic car cake celebrating Discovery’s Fast N’ Loud host, Richard Rawlings, and a bridal fair presentation of their ideal wedding cake. The competition comes to a climax with the final, space-themed challenge in Philadelphia, where the judges will crown the winner.
We know that in the first battle will feature family recipes in the first Bake-Off with the Cake-Off round has them working on car inspired cakes. They will create carnival treats, Bollywood-inspired cakes, and be featured at Randy’s Donuts, design desserts for a dog pampering party, create and illusion cake for Hollywood’s Magic Castle and impress a couple with a wedding cake throughout the competition.
The final episode will have them working on a Bake-Off that will feature engagement rings for surprise proposals and the in the Cake off as they head back to their shops for that space-themed cake.
Who will come out victorious in Buddy Vs. Duff or will we see some sort of split decision for the two bakers? The final challenge will end in Philadelphia where they will have to create a space-themed item and we can only hope that the prior challenges will lend themselves to some sort of advantages during the final challenge. Our house has spoken, we are team Duff.
