We have gotten a little look at the DuckTales holiday special that will air on December 1st on Disney Channel and it does seem like a nice node to “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.” At the same time does nothing for the overall story of DuckTales and with all these episodes in the past few weeks we are looking forward to getting into the meat of the story again. There is a bit of hope though in the synopsis though as it seems that Dewey is going to try and find his mother with a younger Donald Duck and this may lead to some answers about her.
DUCKTALES – “Last Christmas!” – In a nod to “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” Scrooge avoids the pressures of the holidays by traveling back in time with a trio of fun-loving ghosts to crash history’s greatest Christmas parties instead. Meanwhile, time-lost Dewey teams up with young Donald Duck to find his mom on Christmas. This episode of “Ducktales” airs Saturday, December 1 (7:30 A.M. ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Scrooge in all versions is linked to the holidays and this time around he gets to travel back in time with fun versions of the Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Present, Ghost of Christmas Past to check in on some of the best Christmas parties of all time. This could hopefully give us some interesting younger versions of the characters and maybe give us some info into what we can expect in the future.
DUCKTALES – “Last Christmas!” – Beginning Dec. 1, ABC, Freeform, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior will be airing holiday-themed programming and entertainment for the whole family throughout the month, leading up to Christmas Day.
