As we get ready for Season 2 of DuckTales we look back on the classic series and try and determine which villains from the original show should make their way into future episodes of the reboot. That is not to say we don’t need some original villains in the new show, but we have seen the team rework characters, think Doofus Drake, for the new version of the show that are not that similar to the original.
We list our top seven villains from the DuckTales original series and movie that we would like to see make an appearance in the new DuckTales reboot and why. Spoilers for the original DuckTales will appear below, but it has been over 30 years already.

Argus McSwine aka Victor Luzer
The McSwine character has been portrayed in many of the different media types including the comics, but in his lone appearance in DuckTales “Spies in Their Eyes” he goes by the name of Victor Luzer. Luzer is a calculating character in this episode. He is labelled a super spy and is out to steal and experimental attack submarine. While we have already seen a bit of spy action in the reboot with “From the Confidential Casefiles of Agent 22!” it would be great to reintroduce the Argue McSwine character into a larger spy storyline.

Cinnamon Teal
In the same episode of DuckTales “Spies in Their Eyes” we have female spy Cinnamon Teal who is also a top-notch hypnotist. This is how she gets Donald Duck to help steal the navy submarine. The power of being able to hypnotize Duckburg and their inhabitants could make for some interesting stories.

Dijon
We learned that Dijon will be in Season 2 of DuckTales so we are just curious to see how he turns out. There have been pictures and he does not look like the same bumbling Dijon we knew from the original series.

El Capitan
El Capitan was the villain from the five-part pilot “Treasure of the Golden Suns,” which may be some of the best episodes of DuckTales original series. He is consumed by his love of gold and was living by sheer will in the original series to find the Valley of the Golden Suns and all the gold it contained. This would be a great villain for another multiple episode storyline for the new team on a similar type of adventure.

Merlock The Magician
The evil sorcerer is from DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and he is truly evil. He has tons of magic powers which include being a anthropomorphic wolf with the ability to turn into other animals. He is immortal per the movie and would make another magic user for the show. The only problem is does he fill the same role as Magica De Spell?

Millionara Vanderbucks
Possibly the scariest of villains for Scrooge and the family as she is a wealthy woman who Scrooge falls in love with. The issue is she is really only after Scrooge’s money and trying to make life miserable for the rest of the family. She wants to marry Scrooge for not only his wealth but his power and because she was able to get Scrooge to fall in love with her, she would be a real threat. In the reboot though do we want to create a story like this? Could we bring her back as maybe a female business rival instead?

Phantom Blot
In the episode “All Ducks on Deck”, Phantom Blot tries to steal something from the navy and gets mixed up with Scrooge as well as Donald Duck. He is another one that wants to take over the world and has a bunch of abilities and skills that make him someone to watch out for.

Fritter O’Way
Fritter O’Way shows up in “Down and Out in Duckburg” as he is able to collect on the debt of Seafoam McDuck causing Scrooge to have to relinquish his fortune to Fritter. Sly as a fox, Fritter O’Way uses Scrooge’s business morality against him. This would be a great one-off villain in the new series and he could be brought in via many different types of stories.
So was there anyone we missed that you would like to see make an appearance in the new DuckTales?
