FETHRY, DEWEY, HUEY
DUCKTALES – “The Depths of Cousin Fethry!” will bring Fethry Duck into animated form for the first time. As a character from the comics he was very popular outside of the US but has made his mark later on with the market here. This seems like a great introduction for Fethry Duck to appear on DuckTales as he should be well know to many fans of the comics in many different countries.
DUCKTALES – “The Depths of Cousin Fethry!” – Huey and Dewey are led on an adventure by their distant Uncle Fethry, who takes them to the depths of Scrooge’s deep-sea laboratory. This episode of “Ducktales” airs Saturday, October 27 (7:30 – 8:00 A.M. EDT) on Disney Channel.
In the picture we see Fethry talking to Dewey and Huey, in what we can assume based on the synopsis, is the deep-sea laboratory. We love that in this version of DuckTales we are getting a lot of the extended family introduced into the story, but does Fethry have some connection to what is going on with Della or is he just being introduced to expand the cast. We are hoping that there is something going on in the deep-sea laboratory that is essential to the overall story or maybe we will get introduced to some new villain. There is some interesting background on Fethry and why he wears a hat, this is the sort of duck that is bit unconventional so he should make a fun character in the DuckTales animated universe.
Tom Kenny will be voicing the character for DUCKTALES – “The Depths of Cousin Fethry!” airing on Saturday October 27th, and you may know him for being the current voice of Rabbit from Mini Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, but not the new Christopher Robins movie. That being said he is the current voice of SpongeBob SquarePants for the series and upcoming movie. Tom Kenny also looks to be the voice of Pinocchio in the pre-production work being done on The Adventures of Pinocchio.
