WEBBY, LOUIE
The new DuckTales is paying homage not only to the original series but also to the comics themselves and “The Ballad of Duck Baloney!” seems like a reference to the character Duke of Baloni from Carl Bark’s comics. What is interesting is that the Duke of Baloni was referred to as the “world’s second richest duck” prior to the creation of Glomgold, so we wonder if the reboot is just going to combine both characters into Glomgold or if maybe that was his secret identity while he was “gone” from his regular routine.
DUCKTALES – “The Ballad of Duke Baloney!” – After his disappearance, Glomgold resurfaces as anything but his ever-scheming self, while Webby and Louie try to uncover the truth behind who is Duke Baloney. This episode of “Ducktales” airs Saturday, November 3 (7:30 – 8:00 A.M. EDT) on Disney Channel.
In the picture we get to see Glomgold and what looks like to be some of his henchmen or let us call them business partners as he talks to Webby and Louie. What is interesting per the episode description is that it seems like Glomgold has resurfaced. So does that mean that he went into hiding or that something else happened to him? When he is found, it seems like he has a personality change as he is not his usually scheming self. Webby and Louie are trying to find out who Duke Baloney is, but it has to have something to do with Glomgold, if not would they really introduce another rich duck character? Then again we got a spoiled rich duck in Doofus Drake with the reboot so who knows.
Make sure to take a look at other DuckTales villains we would like to see added to the new series as well. Make sure to tune into this new episode on Saturday November 3rd at the early hour of 7:30 in the morning.
