Worldwide Day of Play (WWDoP) is Saturday, Sept. 29th and Nickelodeon will use all of their platforms to help kids to get up and play. There are going to be over 4,000 events that will be hosted by all sorts of local and national partners which you can see in the release below.
I Am Frankie stars are going to help get this all started as there will be interstitials featuring the cast members. These interstitials will help show that physical play in kids’ lives is important. There will also some new grant programs go along with Worldwide Day of Play to help bring fitness and play to kids.
The other nice thing is that Nickelodeon is partnering with Mini Mudder, which is a Tough Mudder’s one-mile Mud run designed for kids that consists of 8 to 10 obstacles. They will be introducing a brand-new Nickelodeon-themed “Slime” obstacle to the courses in celebration of Worldwide Day of Play.
