FREAKY FRIDAY – “Freaky Friday” stars Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff visited Manhattan’s Broadway theatre district including THE ICONIC SARDI’S RESTAURANT while in New York to publicize their Disney Channel Original Movie. The music-driven, body-swap comedy “Freaky Friday” premieres FRIDAY AUGUST 10 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Disney Channel.
Since this is a television adaption of the Freaky Friday musical which premiered in Washington D.C. in 2016. This was a great new take on the classic story and now we have a movie based on the musical which will be a great way for everyone to get a taste of the musical aspect of the reboot. What is an interesting thought now is does the musical itself get its own semi-reboot on Broadway?
We are going to get a great story with wonderful music and we think that the show will also start to make its way to some amateur productions around the country. Get ready to tune in this week and let us know what you think about the new “Freaky Friday” on the Disney Channel over on social media. Based on all of the “Freaky Friday” media book, movies, musical and now television musical do you still enjoy the overall theme? We have even seen a music video and song based on this “concept” do very well on YouTube so we think the story itself is timeless and there can be many different takes on it.
We also have some new pictures from their Good Morning America appearance where Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff perform a live version of “At Last It’s Me” in preparation for the premiere of the show.
