Heidi Blickenstaff Tells Us Why They Are Doing Another Freaky Friday Movie

HEIDI BLICKENSTAFF

“Freaky Friday” deserves a reboot and Heidi Blickenstaff give us her thoughts on why it will be a bit different from the other takes of the movie throughout the years. While you can spin the switching bodies story many different ways, this take on “Freaky Friday” is different per Heidi because it is an original musical. Also as we well know, kids like things that are new so sometimes a reboot is needed to get them interested in a good concept and we just love Cozi Zuehlsdorff and Heidi Blickenstaff in their roles. Add in the rest of the cast, including Jason Maybaum who we enjoy from Raven’s Home and it should be a strong showing. We are also looking forward to seeing Jennifer Laporte as well.

Cozi Zuehlsdorff (“Dolphin Tale”) and Heidi Blickenstaff (“The Little Mermaid” and “Something Rotten!” on Broadway, and the stage production of “Freaky Friday”) star in the Disney Channel Original Movie “Freaky Friday,” a music-driven, body-swap comedy about a mother and daughter who, strangely, spend a day in each other’s shoes. It premieres FRIDAY, AUGUST 10 (8:00-9:45 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Channel.

In describing the movie, star @heidiblick says “I’ve heard people say ‘Why are they doing that again?’ It’s an original musical, that’s why we’re doing it again. There’s this new, great version that we want to share with the world,” for today’s generation of kids and families. #DisneyFreakyFriday #August10

We were able to see a lot of the pictures from behind and in front of the camera for “Freaky Friday” as we get ready for the premiere. Remember to tune in to Disney Channel at 8 p.m. EDIT on Friday August 10th to watch “Freaky Friday” the original musical, a new take on a great set of movies.
