Elena of Avalor: Song of the Sirenas, the anticipated television movie event, will debut on Friday, September 21st during prime time on Disney Junior and the DisneyNOW app. We have some behind the scenes photos the voice actors, but the most exciting one is where Prince Royce shares a look at Prince Marzel. We also get Gina Rodriguez and Edward James Olmos doing some voice work as well for what looks to be an exciting television movie.

ELENA OF AVALOR: SONG OF THE SIRENAS – The prime time television movie event “Elena of Avalor: Song of the Sirenas,” based on the Emmy(r) and Imagen Award-winning series featuring Disney’s first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore, will debut on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT), on Disney Junior and the DisneyNOW app.

It looks like in this movie, Elena will travel to a place that she used to visit as a child to meet some family members. While she is there she will encounter the mermaid-like sirenas and learn about their history with humans. This history is not a pleasant one, but Elena will try to make this right and then ask them to help her with sorceress Shuriki.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
