BSCKids got a chance to speak with Brandon Spink about his time on Berlin Station on EPIX as well as his career. Check out the interview below.

BSCKids: Tell us a bit about your character on the upcoming season of Berlin Station on EPIX. How did you get the part?

Brandon Spink: Noah is son of Robert Kirsch, his parents are divorced and he comes to live with his dad in Berlin Germany!! I auditioned for the role via tape from Atlanta, flew into LA for a chemistry read with Leland Orser, who plays my dad on the show! Found out 2 days later that I booked the role.

BSCKids: What is the coolest thing you have gotten to witness while on set?

Brandon Spink: The location sites were so cool in Berlin; we filmed at the Brandenburg Gate, which was also located near the old remains of the Berlin Wall.

BSCKids: You got to play young Bruce Wayne, did you follow Batman prior to the movie?

Brandon Spink: Yes, I did follow Batman movies, he is my favorite superhero. I remember every Halloween dressing up as Batman; I have been a fan for a long time.

BSCKids: Do you get recognized when you go out and what would be your favorite story of meeting a fan?

Brandon Spink: Sometimes, I look a-lot different since filming BVS, so people don’t realize that I was young Bruce Wayne! That movie has such a big audience so fans always think it was cool to play that role.

BSCKids: Who do you think has taught you the most in your acting career?

Brandon Spink: My coach has been great, she has taught me how to research, prepare and create my character. I have also had great advice from the late Garry Marshall, “stay humble” and Leland Orser taught me “acting is reacting”.

BSCKids: What music is currently playing on your phone and what is your favorite app?

Brandon Spink: I love all types of music. I have a lot of rap; currently I have 21 Savage and Tupac!

BSCKids: 2017 saw you play the role of Baelfire on Once Upon A Time. How was it working on that show?

Brandon Spink: Working on OUAT was really amazing. Working alongside Robert Carlyle, (who played my father), was great! My storyline was so fun to shoot, like Berlin Station it also dealt with the ups and down of a father son relationship.

BSCKids: If you had to pick your favorite picture on your Instagram account which one would it be and why?

Brandon Spink: Right now it would be the picture from my trip to Cooperstown, New York, where I hit my out-of-the-park home run!

BSCKids: Tell us one thing we would be surprised to find out about you?

Brandon Spink: I have shoe addiction; I am a sneaker-head!

BSCKids: What is the one thing that you don’t leave the house without?

Brandon Spink: My phone.

What is your favorite baseball team?

Brandon Spink: Atlanta Braves

How supportive has your family been about your career? Since you live on the East Coast do you have to travel a lot for your work?

Brandon Spink: My family is so supportive; my mom helps to organize it all. I do travel a lot, but I also get to tape most of my auditions.

If you could give a starting actor/actress some advice what would it be?

Brandon Spink: You will hear a lot of no’s, but never give up! It will happen!

Where can we find you on social media and the web?

Brandon Spink: Instagram: @brandon.spink, snapchat: Brandon_spink99, twitter: @Brandonsspink

What do you have upcoming in your career you can tell us about?

Brandon Spink: Just auditioning, and looking forward to a busy 2018.
