Just as summer winds down we get a new Big Nate book by Lincoln Peirce: Big Nate: A Good Old-Fashioned Wedgie that was released recently. We get to revisit with Nate Wright and his adventures in middle school. Big Nate was started by Lincoln over 25 years ago and is syndicated in over 300 newspapers across the United States and he does not look to be slowing down anytime soon.
The whole gang from P.S. 38 is back for more hijinks, hilarity, and underwear hoisting in this new collection of Big Nate comics. Can Chad somehow survive on a diet of kale and soy nuts? Are Jenny and Artur EVER going to break up? And how is Nate supposed to concentrate on baseball when he’s got a crush on his team’s new pitcher? See for yourself! Join Nate and the rest of the crew for another unforgettable round of middle school adventures!
There are always great stories in a Big Nate book and this one is no different. The major ones that come to mind are when the Cream Puffs (Nate’s baseball team) loses their best pitcher, Chester. Someone from Nate’s Pre-k past will come back to pitch and it will create all sorts of feelings for our boy Nate. Jenny also comes back to school and Nate will pick right back up where he left off with her and his feelings, but let us not forget about Artur. Chad will try to fix his motion sickness, Nate may be abducted by aliens, and Gramps will have an interesting time at Nate’s baseball games, but summer will come to an end and Nate will start to get ready for another year at school. There will be an interesting mystery for Nate to solve once his classes start as a mysterious part of a note on a ripped piece of paper appears. These are only a few of the stories that Lincoln Peirce whips up with Nate and his friends in Big Nate: A Good Old-Fashioned Wedgie. Overall another great addition to the Nate series.
