In truth- I am not sure who would be thrilled at the headline, or just the general aspect of a convention about nothing but the writing and books. “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” resident book lover Twilight Sparkle, or that of myself. In truth it would likely be incredibly close. But seeing Twilight has magic, and thanks to that do some incredible things with her magic. She would likely win.
On June 3rd and 4th at the Javits Center in the heart of New York City something marvelous is happening- wait for it- Book Con!
Just as the name suggests, the convention is dedicated to books, writers and basically all things writing. In short paradise and nothing short of a dream come true for any book lover or writer. Book Con brings together publishers, writers, fans and press together in celebration of stories that are already loved, and news one that are just at the starting line. Characters that we all carry with us, and introductions to some that reach us in new and unexpected ways.
(So, again you see why this is so wonderful, right?)
Just scrolling through the list of attending guest alone is enough to get anyone excited and their heart pounding. There are a ton of brilliant and talented men and women attending that have brought to life wonderful stories and unforgettable characters.
But it is not just the writers that make this Book Con a little more, well magical.
This year Hasbro is attending and once more showing the world the true power that is friendship is magic.
On Sunday June 4th, Book Con is hosting a little panel at 1:30-2:30 by the name of “Ponies on the Page: My Little Pony the Movie Prequel Stories”.
Here are the full details of the panel per Book Con’s website:

Hasbro is pulling out all the stops and the mane six are shinning even more brightly than ever before. And every new bit of news and events like this only make the anticipation for the film that much greater.
