“Hotel Transylvania: The Series” on Disney Channel sounds a little “off” to our ears as Hotel Transylvania the movie was a Sony Pictures production from 2012. That being said there is a Disney connection with Selena Gomez, and it fits in the Disney animation line in terms of story and look. “Hotel Transylvania: The Television Series” is going to focus on the teenage years of Dracula’s daughter, Mavis and her teenage years. This series will take place before the movies, sort of like a prequel series to the two movies from the Hotel Transylvania series. There is also a rumor of a third movie that we may see in 2018 to really keep the franchise undead and strong.
At Hotel Transylvania, Mavis navigates life without her Dad Dracula around and discovers one of the few common human and monster truths: being a teenager bites. Check into all-new “Hotel Transylvania: The Series” June 2017 on Disney Channel.
You can check out the trailer below and hopefully we will have some more information about the show in the next few weeks, including a full cast of voice talent. I think this is a great show to fill a void that Disney has on the channel right now, and look forward to catching it. Based on the trailer, her father is away at some meeting so it seems Mavis is going to be in charge of the hotel for a bit which should lead to some fun issues I would think. There is not a lot of information leaking but we do know Dracula, Mavis’ dad is away and Aunt Lydia, who is Mavis’ aunt is a bit meaner and rigid in terms of how the hotel should be run. Hank N Stein, Pedro and Wendy Blob are all Mavis’ friends who will help her try to run the hotel and have fun at the same time.
