So close, yet distant. This is perhaps one of the best ways to convey the highly anticipated and exciting upcoming feature film for the sensation “My Little Pony”.
And ever since late last year, we here at BCSKids have been more than excited about not only the future feature film- but all the magical things that the world of friendship is magic has been poised to bring us. From the now airing seventh season of the series, upcoming Equestria Girls shorts, and naturally all the merchandise that is slowly and surely headed into retailers.
With all the new and thrilling new adventures that are coming to light it’s hard to not get excited. After all these years of following the tales of the mane six, it has yet to get any less exciting.
And their upcoming film perfectly and simply titled “My Little Pony: The Movie”. Life seems to become even more exciting and thrilling as our favorite characters take to the screen for a new epic tale.
Despite the film opening in a few months, a lot of the specifics have been kept hidden in regards to the plot. Here is the main summary:
A new dark force threatens Ponyville, and the Mane 6 – Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity – embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home.
But what we do know is that this film has gone all out with the voice-cast, especially with a lot of our brand-new characters that we are gearing up to meet.
And in this all new image from Hasbro we not only get a better look at the new characters, but also our beloved mane six sporting a different kind of tail than we usually see them with!
Featured in the image is Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Queen Novo (as voiced by Uzo Aduba), Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Princess Skystar (Kristin Chenoweth).
In addition to Aduba and Chenoweth, Emily Blunt,Taye Diggs,Michael Peña,Zoë Saldana,Liev Schreiber and Sia are slated to join the already fantastic voice cast. Plus fans of Sia get hyped as she performs an original song for the movie.
Even though we have only had a slight teaser trailer- that has even been shown in theaters- you can already get a feel for what kind of story will play out before us. Just from a glance you can tell that this is a true labor of love. And that only makes time move slower.
But with any luck we will get to see a full trailer soon!
