When we say that 2017 is the year for animation, we are not kidding. And are we ever hyped. At this point, even though we have not even made it thought January, we already finding ourselves with so much information about new and returning shows that this is beyond glorious.
Right now it is easy to ramble off a list titles to keep a eye on. The list of feature films that have already made it onto my ‘must go see opening weekend list’ is already a mile long. One of which is the highly anticipated and perhaps even long awaited feature film of everyone’s favorite mane six. You know what I am talking about, the one and only – My Little Pony: The Movie.
Just thinking of seeing the fantastical world of Equestria and all the characters fans love come to life is something worth getting excited over. Yes, well technically we have already seen Twilight and company on the big screen. The first two films in the Equestria Girls film series. Equestria Girls and Rainbow Rocks did get special showings in select theaters. But this time, however it’s different. It is all about the pony versions of our beloved characters as they venture into a world we have some to know over the years. Or at least we can assume so. Even though we have been getting casting detail for a while now. We have yet to get full details about the film’s plot.
The closest thing I can find to a general summary for the film was an article posted last year in regards to Emily Blunt’s joining the voice cast.
Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity. When a new dark force threatens Ponyville, they embark on an unforgettable journey beyond Equestria where they meet new friends and exciting challenges on a quest to use the magic of friendship and save their home.
Even without a full detailed summary (though I am excited for that!). It is already clear that this film is going to be epic. Not only because My Little Pony always pulls out all the stops. But also the amazing new additions to the already amazing voice cast. Kristin Chenoweth, Emily Blunt, Michael Pena. As well as Uzo Aduba, Live Schreiber, Taye Diggs, and Sia Furler.
As if that wasn’t star studded enough. Another member of the already all-star cast has been announced. From the hits “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Star Trek” comes Zoe Saldana.
Not enough to get excited over? Here is the official logo for the film!

With a glance, you can already tell that things are going to be good.
The film hits theater on October 6th. So the countdown has already begun! Keep posted here at BSCKids to follow more details of the film as they come. Because something tells me that this is not a film to miss.
