Spots On! Claws Out! Be Miraculous

Despite only making their debut last fall when the show first aired in Korea. Ladybug and Cat Noir have done nothing short of taking over the world. Miraculous: Tales and Ladybug and Cat Noir is one of the most popular series across the globe. With high ratings, great writing and animation. Plus a devoted fan base with fans kids, teenagers and adults alike, it has blown-up so fast.  And with good reason. The series is pure and total brilliance. Everything just works perfectly; the dynamics between the characters, the magic and heroics.

I have to stop myself of I will do nothing but gush and fangirl over every major and minor detail to no end. As someone who has been following this for quite a while (if you recall my first post about the series). I am beyond thrilled to see it doing so well and reaching so many.

Over here in North America “Miraculous” has been on a slight hiatus. The last episode, “Princess Fragrance” aired back in May. Since then fans, much like myself, have been awaiting news for when the rest of the first season would air. Thankful the wait is over, as of this Saturday, August 6th Miraculous returns to Nick. The best way to kick of an awaited return? Take a step back and see where the story started.

That is right, the long awaited and epic two-part “Miraculous” tale is about to un-fold. The origin story is here!

The two-part event titled that of “Ladybug and Cat Noir: Origins, Part 1” and “Stone Heart: Origins Part 2” Is set to air back to back starting at eight a.m.

How did Marinette and Adrien become Ladybug and Cat Noir? For that matter how did Marinette and Adrien first meet? At long last those burring questions are answered.

I must confess that I have already seen both episodes in French. And let me just say that it might just be the strongest episodes to date. Hands down instant favorites. And that last scene in Stone Heart…well, I was squealing.

As creator Thomas Astruc would say, no spoilers!

But the origins are far from the only things in store for us Miraculous fans, not by a long shot. New episodes are noted to be airing every Saturday at the 8:30 time slot.  The following week, August 13th, “Animan” is slated to air.

Speaking of adventures. Thanks to Action Lab Entertainment fans have another additional way to relive some of Ladybug and Cat Noir’s tale. The company, now celebrating five years of crafting comics, has been releasing a range of comics based on the series. Each issue clocking in at sixty-four pages offers a cine-story style retelling of the episodes.

Currently three issues have been released in physical and digital format as well as trade version. But addition issues have already gone up for pre-order.

In most cases having a comic series in addition to the actual series is massive. But that still is only a part of what Zag has in store for our two beloved heroes.

If you recall back in February.  We had quite a bit of exciting first look at merchandise.  And there was a lot to be had from Bandai America. The upcoming range  included that of figures, dolls and cosplay items to bring the story to life. Now after what feel like the longest wait, they are arriving online and in-stores. But they are selling out extremely fast. So finding our heroes might be a mission in itself.

Calling it now; Miraculous will be one of the hottest gifts this holiday season.

It really is mind-blowing just to see how big of an impact the series has had in a short time. It is inspiring. I know I have already said that I love Miraculous and Zagtoons as a whole, but I really do love it. Such great admiration and respect is to be had for Zag. And to everyone who is working  to bring these great characters and their adventures to light. I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Miraculous is proving that it is truly the best.
