At long last, the endless days of cold weather are nothing short of a distant memory. The textbooks have relocated to shelves. The air conditioning blast and the beach gear packed into tote bags. Now with Memorial Day weekend passed it is time to welcome summer.
Summer is synonymous for sun, adventure and travel. From exploring as near as your own backyard. Or perhaps to places that feel like they are worlds away the possibilities are endless.
Dreams, even.
And even princess dream big.
If you caught our Toy Fair coverage over on our YouTube account. Then you might recall some of the interesting things at Hasbro. To be more specific, their new range of Disney toys. All eleven of the Disney Princess, Frozen and Descendants. Did I mention they are adorable- because, well they are.
Growing-up, when my nose was not stuck in a book or two, not too much of a surprise I was always crafting my own stories. I recall spending hours on top of hours doing nothing but playing with my dolls and toys. Even though I might have not uttered a single word, my mind was racing as I wove tales. Perhaps it was moments such as those that drove my writing addiction. I loved nothing more than to tell my own stories. Some original and fan fiction feats with characters I loved.
When the good folks at Hasbro ever so kindly offered to send me some of the new Disney toys to review it was thrilling. The characters are brilliant and beloved, the actual products are nothing less than magical. By no means does Hasbro’s range of Disney’s products disappoint. Each and every character looks as if they have jumped off the screen. With very distinct face-ups, detailed clothing and accessories really help bring them to life.
Clearly some fun at the beach was had.
As the pictures can tell there is a wide range that is being offered, from everyone’s favorite and classic fashion dolls, to aquatic fun and miniature figures. Definitely something for every type of fan and collector to be had.
Anna, as part of the classic Frozen line), is enjoying summer being summer in her signature dress from the film- complete with boots. With great detailing and shimmering accents on the skirt you feel like the snow is about to fall. Sun or snow she is ready for adventure!
Genie Chic is always in style! Straight from Descendant’s Wicked World we have Evie rocking her new look- thanks of course of Jordan, daughter of Genie. With so many pieces to her outfit you can easily customized Evie’s look and share with other dolls.
Can I just start fussing over? As my favorite member of the Disney Princess line-up, as well as simply favorite female Disney character, I simply adore Mulan. As excited as I am about all of the fantastic toys this probably was the icing on the cake. Mulan has not always gotten nearly as much love as some of her fellow Disney Princess, so seeing her included on the royal shimmer fashion line was brilliant. With a high level of detailing on the dress, long dark hair and slip on shoes it really strongly embodies Mulan’s personality and spirited nature.
Ariel is one mermaid to make waves, and with her spin and swim doll she can do just that. In the bathtub, the pool or maybe even the beach. Just flip the switch on her back and watch her, along with dear friends Sebstain and Flounder dance across the water.
There is only one way to describe Little Kingdom; adorable. To the utmost meaning of the word at that. Really playing off the chibi art-style the Disney Princess and company might have not been this cute before. They may be small, but they lack great detail. In Frozen Friendship Collection featured above fans can recreate the story of Frozen, or make-up new adventures with Anna, Elsa, Snowball, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven. Even cooler? You can swap the sister’s clothing and accessories with one another and other characters in the Little Kingdom collections. Think Elsa might look good in yellow? Want to see Anna cosplay Ariel? Options are endless.
And even more fun awaits with playset that help add more to the fun, like the Arendelle Treat Shoppe.
Snow cone, anyone? Summer is a great time for exploring, but sometimes we do not have to travel far to seek it out. Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity to start something grand and a new world to open.
Once more may I offer a grand thank-you for the kindness of Hasbro. So grateful to have the chance to take a closer look at some of the magic Hasbro has been crafting. Again, thank-you. Everything featured is currently available at HasbroToyShop.com as well as other fine retailers.
