Disney Channel Bizaardvark – Hit or Miss

I just love when new shows come on to the air and what I like to do is read what they are about and give my opinion if I think they will be a hit or a miss in terms of being a good show. This time I have the opportunity to do it with Bizaardvark which will premier on Disney Channel right after the Adventures in Babysitting movie. So let’s talk about what we do know so far. Madison Hu who has a role on Best Friends Whenever and Olivia Rodrigo are going to be playing friends that create funny videos for their online channel, Bizaardvark, that gets a bunch of subscribers to get them noticed. So now Vuuugle Studios wants the girls to work with other video bloggers to go super viral.

The live-action comedy follows Paige and Frankie, quirky best friends who write funny songs and create music comedy videos for their online channel, “Bizaardvark.” Now with 10,000 subscribers, the girls are invited to produce videos at the influential Vuuugle Studios. In this cool environment — and with the help of their friend and aspiring agent Bernie and fellow Vuuugle stars Dirk (of “Dare Me Bro!”) and Amelia (of “Perfect Perfection with Amelia”) — the duo embark on comedic adventures in their quest to take the video blogging world by storm.

Ok so all of the things I love about this: It focuses on something that kids do every single day, watch YouTube videos, it has a lot of characters that allows for a lot of different interactions, I just love Madison Hu and her and Olivia will be able to carry the series, and it is very open-ended in the types of stories that they can tell. This is a show that won’t be pigeon-holed into having to stay within story line that limits what they can do. Also, I think that the two other video bloggers they will be working with have channels that are already making me laugh without seeing one of their videos. I mean Dare Me Bro! is going to lead to some funny stuff, and Perfect Perfection with Amelia puts a smile on my face. How many things are they going to do on the show that make Amelia just go crazy! The only thing I would say is they need to watch out about rehashing any sort of stories that came along with that oh so famous show about video blogging iCarly.

Starring are Olivia Rodrigo (“An American Girl: Grace Stirs Up Success”) as Paige Olvera, Madison Hu (“Best Friends Whenever”) as Frankie Wong, Jake Paul (YouTube Red’s “Dance Camp”) as the lovable and wild Dirk Mann, DeVore Ledridge as Southern DIY diva Amelia Duckworth, and Ethan Wacker (“Miles from Tomorrowland,” “K.C. Undercover”) as the overly-confident Bernard “Bernie” Schotz.

So I say, tune into The Disney Channel Bizaardvark show even though it has a funny name and I think you will be in for a good series. They have a good cast, along with what I think will be a great story line. I am super excited to see the show and hope that it does really well.
