The plot of “Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes” is described on the official site as follows:
“In the Kingdom of Hytopia, a fashion-obsessed realm where sartorial elegance is celebrated, an evil witch has placed a mysterious curse upon Princess Styla, casting the realm into disarray. With citizens calling for the return of a legendary trio of ‘Totem Heroes’ to protect them, and King Tuft offering a unique reward for whosoever lifts the curse, venture into the Drablands to hunt down the witch and restore peace and stylishness to the land.”
Stylishness is a critical element to “Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.” As seen in the trailer above, you can craft different clothes for yourself, and depending on what you wear, your abilities will change. For example, “Goron garb allows you to go through lava, the Kokiri suit will allow you to shoot three arrows,” said game director Hiromasa Shikata. He elaborated on the strategic component to Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes ’ fashion element in a separate interview: “I thought that, depending on which clothing you collected, it would impact how you navigated courses and would make them easier to move through. It’s not something as simple as this will make a stronger attacker, or this will give you a better defense. They’re really designed toward making you be able to navigate and clear a course,” Shikata said.
Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes can be played single-player, or it can be played with two other friends, but it cannot be played with only one other person. Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes arrives in stores October 23. The Oct. 23 release date for Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes is the same for both North America and Europe.
