Under Armour Youth Sunglasses – Review

As you purchase that brand new bat, that fresh tennis racquet, or any of the new and cool sports items for the year for your kids, you are probably missing something important. Sunglasses. Typically, they are more of an afterthought if your child does not wear prescription glasses and more often than not you run out to get some cheap pair just to try and get through the season. This is a mistake and Under Armour has a solution with facts to back it up.

The first thing that normally happens to those cheap pair of glasses are that the hinges will come loose and the first time you pick up the UA brand Dynamo and Nitro glasses the quality of the hinges is apparent. They feel sturdy and have a nice solid closing point that will not flop around. This is only the tip of a well crafted product as the frames are some spacey type combination that involves titanium and they are quite flexible and sturdy. Once your kids look through the lens though, exclamations of “Wow that is so clear” will not be uncommon. As a parent the 10X stronger than ordinary polycarbonate lenses makes me feel a lot safer when the kids are out playing as well.

It was also a huge hit that the Dynamo Sunglasses had a cap gripper so when they were flipped on top of the baseball cap they stayed in place nicely, even when the kids are running around to make that play at second base. The only thing that was a sticking point was that we would rather have paid a few more dollars and gotten a hard case to compliment the glasses (it does come with a soft cleaning cloth drawstring case). When they are rolling around on the bottom of a sports bag keeping them safe is a top priority. Make sure to add a case to keep your glasses in tip-top shape as both models are beauties. That being said they have held up well to the kids abuse of dropping them and throwing them around. The designs and colors are abundant and the nice little touches like the UA design on the inside of the Nitro glasses show that they are paying attention to detail to put out nice product that protects your children’s eyes against all types of UV rays.
