Tell us about how you got into the music scene at such a young age?
My mom and I kept in touch with someone we had met a while back when I was involved with some acting. One thing led to another, and here we are!
Who are some of your role models in the industry?
There are tons of talented musicians in the industry today that I look up to. I would definitely have to put Taylor Swift on the top of my list. I can relate to most of her songs, and love that she plays her own instruments while she performs. Another huge role model for me is Carrie Underwood. I love that she broke into the industry through American Idol, one of my favorite shows as a kid. She has such an amazing voice and her songs are so passionate, and I love her sense of style. I personally love to cover Adele’s songs on piano while singing. I love the sincerity and soulfulness of her voice. I also want to marry Justin Bieber one day, OF COURSE!
You also do a bit of acting, is this something you hope to also pursue in the future?
Yes! I would definitely love to take up some acting roles in the near future! Singing and acting are my passions!
Where do you get your inspiration for your songs?
Most of my songs are in some way related to personal experiences. Whenever an incident occurs in my life that makes an impact, whether good or bad, it usually ends up in one of my songs!
What do you think makes your music relatable by fans?
I try to keep my music inspirational for all ages. However, I think that being so young, people from my generation can really to relate to my life experiences and events that I write about in my music.
Do you have any plans for a release in the near future?
Well, I just released my first album last week, which I am very excited about! I also plan to put out the in-studio music video that I recorded with Jessica Harp, formally of The Wreckers, to my song “After the Storm” in a few weeks as well!
