You booked your first national commercial at a very young age, were you more scared or excited when it came time to film it?
I was both scared and excited! I had to hold up a live fish that was almost bigger than me. It was hard because I had to make sure it didn’t touch my clothes and it was so heavy! Then we had to get into a rowboat and it started to sink! It was a long day!
You have appeared on several television series, which was your favorite?
I like all the shows I’ve been on and have had favorite episodes of each. I love being in the pool on the Big Time Rush set! I would have to say my favorite is probably Good Luck Charlie though. Its multi camera so you work on one episode for a whole week. Everyone on GLC is so nice and we have lunch together everyday and play games.
Tell us about your role as “Neil” in ParaNorman.
ParaNorman is an animated movie about Norman, a boy who can see and talk to ghosts. Neil is Norman’s best friend. Neil gets picked on a lot and doesn’t have any other friends but he thinks Norman is the coolest and they become each other’s best friends.
Why do you think ParaNorman is a must see movie for kids?
ParaNorman is so so funny! Besides having really cool graphics that you can see so much detail on, it also has funny parts for kids and adults too. We got to see part of it when we visited the studio in Portland and it is really funny!
Are there any movies you are excited about seeing in theaters this year?
I was really excited to see the Avengers! I loved the Hulk and when he mashed the bad guy around and when he punched Thor!
If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be?
Robert Downey Junior definitely! He is so funny and makes every role great! He and Hulk had the best parts in Avengers!
Tell us about Driving for Donors?
Driving for Donors is a charity my brother, Patrick, made when he had Leukemia. We travelled around the United States for 2 summers doing marrow drives to add marrow donors to the registry for people who need bone marrow transplants.
You live in both LA and Florida, but which do you like living there more?
That’s a hard one. I like LA because I have friends here and I like when I’m working but part of my family still lives in Florida so I miss them. I don’t miss the bugs that are in Florida though!
