What can you tell us about your new show Lab Rats?
My new show “Lab Rats,” coming to Disney XD February 27th, involves my two brothers and I having to live our lives with bionic powers. We were created by a billionaire inventor and have lived in an underground lab our entire lives. We each have our own unique powers; I have super speed and agility, my oldest brother, Adam, has super strength and heat vision, and my youngest brother, Chase, has super senses and intelligence. The purpose of us having super-human powers is to give us the ability to go on dangerous missions to save the world when all else fails. Our inventor gets married and obtains a new stepson, Leo, who accidentally discovers us. He then sneaks us off to school and allows us to roam free in the real world since we’ve never experienced it before. From there, our inventor decides to let us live our lives like normal kids, but while hiding our super-human powers. As a family, we all experience the ups and downs of events life throws at us.
What makes your character, Bree, special?
Bree has an extremely outgoing personality. She has tons confidence and could go head-to-head with anyone willing to challenge that. Having lived with two bionic brothers her whole life, she’s very tough like the boys. However, when Bree discovers the real world, a bit of her confidence diminishes when she realizes that she has “teenage-girl” expectations to live up to. She tries her absolute best to fit in with everyone else at school by adjusting to fashion trends, certain interests, and even crushes! I think that many kids can relate to Bree because many of us have had to deal with fitting in and having insecurities. Just like Bree attempts to do, kids should try to break through these challenges and have fun living their life the way they want to.

Are you anything like your character in real life? Do you have any similarities?
I definitely have some similarities to my character, Bree. Just like she has her insecurities while living in the real world, I’ve had mine. I’ve had to deal with fitting in at school, and keeping up with certain trends and fads. I’ve always tried to be the best girl I can be, and Bree is trying to do the same.
Are you going to be able to use your dance and singing skills in any episodes of “Lab Rats”?
Yes I am, actually! In our big school dance episode, I get to show off a little bit of my dancing skills. It was such a fun episode to film and all of us were able to incorporate our own personal style of dance into it. As far as singing, there hasn’t been an opportunity for that, but who knows what future episodes will include! Hopefully the viewers will get a kick out of that.
What was the hardest thing about filming scenes for the show?
One thing I’ve really had to get used to is blocking. You always have to be aware of which way your body is angled or where you’re supposed to be standing or which camera is focused on you. A big thing you always have to remember is to not block someone else’s camera! Over the course of the season, I’ve become more and more aware of my blocking and remembering all the rules has become much easier.
Do you have any funny stories from the set?
There are constantly funny things happening on the Lab Rats set! However, I think one of them tops them all. I’m constantly embarrassing myself, whether it’s falling flat on my face, flubbing my lines, or having wardrobe malfunctions. I’m always one to laugh it off, though! One time, my co-star, Billy Unger, and I were in the midst of filming a scene. At the very end of it, we had to run from one side of the lab to the other. Right as we were supposed to do that, I ran ahead a little bit early, tripped over his foot, and we each went falling in opposite directions. All of it was captured on camera and everyone was watching but we got right back up and started laughing hysterically!

So you LOVE fashion! Do you think you will ever attempt to make your own clothing line?
I think creating my own clothing line would be so awesome! If I ever had the chance, I would love to get involved with something like that. I DO love fashion and expressing my own personal style through a line of clothes and watching other people wear them would be a dream come true. Who knows what will happen within the next couple years!
What is your favorite Disney Channel series right now?
My favorite Disney Channel series right now is definitely Phineas and Ferb! I’ve been watching it since the first day it came out, and I still tune in whenever I have the time. I love how hilarious the characters are together, and especially the encounters Perry the Platypus goes through. Even my whole family enjoys watching it!
If you couldn’t be an actress, what do you think your second career choice would be?
If I weren’t an actress, I’d probably be doing something involving graphic design. I’m really good with computers and designing is something I love doing.. in addition to acting! I definitely have a creative mind.
Are there any movies are television premieres that you just can’t wait to see?
The Hunger Games! I’m a die-hard fan and have been reading the book series. I fell in love with the story from the first page and could never seem to put it down. When I found out it was being made into a movie, I promised myself I would the first one in line to see it! I’m also excited, of course, for the premiere of Lab Rats! The other cast members, crew, and I have put in so much effort into the show and we really hope that the Disney XD viewers enjoy it.
