Look for those Moshi Monsters and get those eggs to hatch. I put this in front of my 5 year old and he was enthralled with the game even though he is not at the reading level just yet. He LOVES the fact that he is trying to find different Moshi Monsters. Every time he finds a new one he comes running up happy to tell me all about it. He has even told his brother about all of the different Moshi Monsters he has found, and sometimes to get his brother to read things to him that he can’t read just yet in the game.
Here is what my son had to say:
“Well, you can get eggs and stuff like that. There is a lot of people that I Know (Moshi Monsters). I like playing the mini-games with them”
So it seems he is becoming quite friendly with all those Moshi Monsters he has discovered, and I always enjoy a game that he can play by himself quietly. I also like the fact that the games is not about fighting or competition, but just a relaxing type game for the kids. Another winner for our boy, when he needs some alone quite time with his Nintendo DS. THe fact that he can take his favorite Moshlings to mini-games makes it even more enjoyable for him.
Moshi Monsters™: Moshling Zoo extends the popularity of the online world’s Moshlings (“pets of pet monsters”), including brand new Moshlings and locations plus an intuitive format in which to interact with their favorite characters. Along the way, there are 52 Moshlings to collect from the common to the rare and even the elusive ‘ultra-rare’. Children can also play new mini-games and educational style puzzles or even win awards and trophies to take back to their zoo!
“Throughout Moshi Monsters: Moshling Zoo’s development cycle we’ve been astounded by the passion of the fans of Moshi Monsters, and how quickly the property is growing,” said David Oxford, Activision Publishing. “Activision has embraced the spirit of what made Moshi Monsters so appealing to over 50 millions kids across the world. We can’t wait to see how our fans respond to a fresh Moshi experience on Nintendo DS™!” said Michael Acton Smith, CEO Mind Candy (Moshi Monsters parent company).
