BSCkids: Junior Doctor
BSCkids: You just released your new music video, “Uh Oh” from your new album. What was the inspiration for the song?
Junior Doctor: The song is about a guy who falls in “love at first sight” with a girl who is way out of his league, and against his friends’ advice he still decides to pursue her.
You worked with Cassie Steele, how did you like working with her?
Cassie was awesome. We are huge fans of her’s so getting to work with her on the video was a very cool experience. She is a super sweet girl and extremely talented. In all of our minds, there is no one that would have been better for the part.
Any plans to work with Cassie in the future?
We have kept in contact with Cassie and though nothing has been confirmed, we both feel it would be a blast to do a song together. So keep an eye out.
Do you have any stories form the set of the video?
Well there is a part in the video where the automatic suspenders go haywire and rip my pants off. It took a good five times to get that shot and the first few literally lifted me off the ground and almost took one of my legs with the pants.
What is the hardest part about shooting a music video?
The shoot was a blast the whole time. I really can’t even think of anything hard about it. The hardest part was waiting to see the finished product because we were all so excited to see it.
Your new album was recently released called, Clumsy Words and Bad Pickup Lines, how long did it take to create that album?
Well most of the record was written over the course of 2 years, but as far as actually recording, we spent most of 2010 in the studio. We worked with multiple very talented producers and learned a lot about songwriting. Making this record was definitely an experience that changed our band forever.
What are your favorite songs from the album?
My favorite songs are Uh Oh, Not Now, and Perfect Girl.
Are you going to release any more videos for songs from the album soon?
There have been talks about another video but we haven’t nailed down any details yet. We post all of our tour update videos on our website jrdrmusic.com, and that’s where we will announce any future music videos as well.
