This week I watched the new episode of iCarly that aired on September 10th. I am actually digging this new season of the show. Sam dating Freddie is a great way to start the new season, who isn’t curious about that relationship that used to be fueled by hate? This week’s episode dealt with their relationship as well as how it affects Carly day to day.
The episode opened with Spencer having put a lawn in the middle of their apt. I loved this! I wish I could have a real lawn inside of my house because who wouldn’t want to sit upon the grass and stare at the stars? Especially if you could do this while inside! Carly, however, seemed less than excited for the lawn.
Probably because of the upkeep….
This episode also brings up how the relationship between Freddie and Sam. One word: FIGHTING. It seems that they fight over everything. By everything I mean…. EVERYTHING. This does though seem like what should happen between the two of them. I mean they fought constantly before they started dating so of course they would fight all the time now.
I did think it was hilarious that Sam filled a teachers car with bees….because he gave Freddie a B on a paper. It’s sweet in a weird way too.
Gibby said one of my favorite quotes in the episode. When talking about what Freddie’s mom would do when she found out he was dating Sam (murder him according to Carly), Gibby says:
“Murder is so not cool!”
I LOVE IT! Such an appropriate response from Gibby in this scene.
Despite all the fighting from Sam and Freddie, they do have their super cute moments. Such as sitting in a restaurant describing when they discovered they liked each other. It was adorable. It gives some insight to their actual relationship sans arguing.
Also another cute thing. Something called: Love Slurpee. Awesome.
I liked that you could see the toll that Freddie and Sam’s fighting took on Carly. She yells at Spencer regarding his “corn juice” and makes him sad! You can just see how stressed out she is and understandably so.
But it gets too much and soon Carly cracks. Like an egg under pressure. While mediating their dinner date, which involves sitting by herself waiting for fight to break out, she snaps. She does these great impressions of the each of them. I laughed out loud because her impressions were ridiculous! However, they were still super silly and super great!
Ok, so even though I love this episode and thought it was a great follow up to the last one…. One small part it took the cake. Gibby decides to adopt the cutest puppy ever. He treats it like a baby between him and Carly but it is incredibly cute. I mean, c’mon its named Sir Licks A Lot! How freaking cute! Adding the dog made this episode so much better!
How could you look at this dog and not love it!
