Even though voting does not begin until March 1, here at BSCkids we decided to give you our picks. Well really it is just me, so don’t take my picks out on anyone else. These are my personal preference, and I will note when I haven’t seen something and I am just making a popular pick. So let us get started.
Favorite TV Show:
-Big Time Rush
-iCarly
-The Suite Life on Deck
-Wizards of Waverly Place
I am going to go with Wizards of Waverly Place and our girl Selena Gomez. I just think it is funnier and I like magic, plus David Henrie and Jack T. Austin have been great this season as well. I was never much of an iCarly fan, and the same with Big Time Rush. I like The Suite Life on Deck when the stories are not too crazy, but sometimes like the alien one are just too over the top. Also the character of Woody is kind of annoying to me.
Favorite Reality Show:

-America’s Funniest Home Videos
-America’s Got Talent
-Wipeout
Not even a question here, Wipeout is the winner, especially with the new Winter course. Even though sometimes the comments could be a little adult oriented, it is a great show to watch with the family and the hosts are super funny. Plus who doesn’t think they would be able to go on the show and do well? American Idol is long in the tooth and America’s Got Talent has some boring acts that keep it out of the top spot. America’s Funniest Home Videosis a good show, but it just doesn’t have the power to take the top spot from Wipeout
Favorite Cartoon:

-Phineas & Ferb
-Scooby Doo! Mystery Incoporated
-Spongebob Squarepants
Hmm, if we were talking old Scooby Doo! it might take the cake, but with these options I go with Spongebob Squarepants. The one episode where they are using a bad word and it sounds like dolphin squeeks is legendary. I have only seen it once, I wonder if it was banned or something. I think I would have a write in ballot of Johnny Test though, that is one of my favorite cartoons on television right now.

Ouch, I would have to select the Sprouse team over the Jonas team, but I don’t know exactly which one I would pick.
Favorite TV Actress:
-Miley Cyrus
-Selena Gomez
-Miranda Cosgrove
-Victoria Justice
Another very tough call here, but I am going to have to go with Miley Cyrus in the last season of Hannah Montana. There was a lot of emotion and I think she really pulled it off. Now I like Selena but I just think that Miley had the tougher role this year and pulled it off well. For all the Miranda and Victoria fans, I just don’t watch enough of their shows to pick them over Miley.
Favorite TV Sidekick:

-Noah Munck
-Brenda Song
Brenda Song or David Henrie they both have their strong points and both play their characters extrememly well. I would tie them if I could, but since I can not I will go with Brenda Song as she may be the only reason I watch Suite Life. That and the fact that every once in a while I have a hard time picturing Henrie as a nerd.
Favorite Movie:

-Diary of a Wimpy Kid
-Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 1
-The Karate Kid
The Karate Kid (new version) was a great movie for the family. While I enjoyed Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Harry Potter, I was able to watch The Karate Kidwith my son this year and we both had a great time. Jaden Smith did really well in the movie with a stand out performance. Ok, wait, I am going to change my mind here, after thinking about it, how can you really go against Harry Potter. Those movies will be classics, and while I liked The Karate Kid, I don’t get a classic vibe from it.

-Jaden Smith
Jaden Smith or Johnny Depp? I will give the nod to Jaden because he is just starting to get his movie groove on. That doesn’t mean I don’t like Depp, I just think Jaden is young and talented and we already know Depp is awesome.
Favorite Movie Actress:

-Ashley Judd
-Kristen Stewart
-Emma Watson
Emma Watson for the Harry Potterfranchise, I mean she does her job year after year and does not seem to get in trouble. She also does a lot of nice charity work, and I mean she is the female face of a friggin franchise! Yeah I know Kristen has Twilight, but still… Harry … Potter!
Favorite Animated Movie:
-Despicable Me
-How to Train Your Dragon
-Shrek Forever After
-Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3 because Toy Story original was the first date movie I had with my wife. Plus they took the story somewhere new, sad and exciting all at the same time. I will admit to not seeing Despicable Me though and I have heard some very good things about it. I really should watch it soon.
Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie:
-Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 3
-Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona in Shrek Forever After
-Tom Hanks as Woody in Toy Story 3
-Eddie Murphy as Donkey in Shrek Forever After
Eddie Murphy is just fun as Donkey. While I may think the other films are much better, I can’t fault Eddie Murphy in any aspect of the voice of Donkey. He makes that character come to life. While Tim and Tom do great work in Toy Story, I think the Shrek films are much better because of Eddie, not just the character.
Favorite Buttkicker:

-Jackie Chan
-Robert Downey Jr
-Will Ferrell
Is this even a contest? Are we talking about whipping butt? Jackie Chan, why would this even be a question?
Favorite Male Athlete:
-Peyton Manning
-Shaun White
-Shaquille O’Neal
-Michael Phelps
Shaquille is about the funniest athlete I have seen. While he may be on the downside of his career, the Celtics are a solid contender and Shaq has the best nicknames for himself. He just symbolizes fun in sports for me, and with the championship rings you can’t say too much about his work either.
Favorite Female Athlete:

-Lindsey Vonn
-Serena Williams
-Venus Williams
I am just going to say I like them all, and can’t really pick.
Favorite Music Group:

-Lady Antebellum
Black Eyed Peas are fun, and they also did a good job at the Super Bowl. Sometimes I can’t get Boom Boom Pow out of my head either so I will give them the win.
Favorite Female Singer:

-Selena Gomez
-Katy Perry
-Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift has to take the title here, based on just pure musical talent. Yeah Miley and Selena can sing, but I think Taylor has them from the aspect of talent. Katy Perry just doesn’t do it for me, seems a lot more gimmicky than Taylor. I ask the following question, if I had to listen to one of them with no mic, no background, just pure singing I would want to hear Taylor.
Favorite Male Singer:

-Justin Bieber
-Jay-Z
-Usher
For me personally, I like Usher. I am sure though that Justin Bieber probably has the win in this category. The kid is talented though so I am not mad to see him win here if he does.
Favorite Song:

-“California Gurls” by Katy Perry feat Snoop Dogg
-“Hey Soul Sister” by Train
-“Mine” by Taylor Swift
Babyby Justin Bieber, but out of these songs it is Luda that brings it home for the win. That is just my pick from these four songs.

-Vampire Academy series
-Witch & Wizard series
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a very funny series and I am always looking forward to the next book so it takes home the win. Also the fact that it had a movie as well says something for its popularity. My older boy also loves it.
Favorite Video Game:

-Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem
-Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
-Super Mario Galaxy 2
I do not care what games they have listed, Dance Central for the Kinect was the best game last year. Another one that is not even a question. Just Dance 2? Come on, step up your dance game with Dance Central.
