Make sure to catch up on our first in depth review of the 2010 Maclaren Triumph Stroller from earlier this summer. It was now on to a trip to Universal Studios Orlando, where the Maclaren Triumph would be tackling the Islands of Adventure (which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) as well as Universal Studios Florida.
As I have stated in the past, when we took the Triumph to Busch Gardens it was the best stroller for an amusement park. I stand by that statement, as the Triumph is a sturdy and classy stroller that is light and compact. It also has a small footprint in a crowded park, and it is easy to steer and manuever through a crowd. Plus, do not be surprised if a bunch of people in the crowd are checking our your stylish stroller.
Now we were going to be taking it to the epitome of theme parks, Universal Studios Orlando.
We stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort Lowes Hotel, so that meant we would be either walking to the park or taking the water taxi. Well, for the water taxi the Triumph was great, because the first time we got on we were told to collapse the stroller while we had a line of people behind us ready to get on. Lickity split we had it collapsed and slung over my shoulder for the ride. This thing is so light and compact it allows you to take it everywhere.
While in the park, it folds up easy to take on the carousel, and the raincover came in handle for a downpour as me and boys just went on our favorite the water rides at the park, Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges. Also when we were coming home late from the park one night, the Mosquito netting over the stroller worked to perfection–it would keep out those pesky lizards, as well–as we took the path home from the park.
As Maclaren says this is “The all-purpose go fast buggy.” When it comes to ease of storage and weight with a classy and sturdy design, you cannot beat this stroller. It made having a baby with us at Universal Studios a breeze, especially when I saw the poor parents with all those inferior products out there.
