I have not seen my kids wearing their Silly Bandz in a few days, but I know they are still attached to them. Especially when they find out about Marvel Avengers Silly Bandz which were just announced.
The Silly Bandz Marvel Avengers! The pack includes four Iron Man, Spider Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Hulk and Thor.
It also seems that a video game is in the works by Zoo games that will be coming to the iPhone and iTouch and then on the Nintendo DS for the holiday season. I am kinda curious what exactly the video game is going to be about and how they are going to work it. Will it be a game like Pokemon or something like a side scroller? Who the heck knows, but I can tell you my kids will want to play it. Also hooking up with Marvel was an awesome idea, they better get as much loot as they can before the craze is over.

Zoo Games Inks Deal with Unstoppable Craze, Silly Bandz
Zoo Publishing and Silly Bandz to produce video game on multiple platforms for Fall 2010
Cincinnati, OH – July 14, 2010 – Zoo Publishing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zoo Games, Inc., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zoo Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZOOG), announced that it is working with Silly Bandz to create and publish a video game based on the popular rubber band accessories. Not since the Beanie Babies of the’90s has a children’s entertainment trend taken the world by such force. The new video game, Silly Bandz, will be released on the iPhone and iTouch in September, just in time for back-to-school, and on Nintendo DS in the 2010 holiday season.
Silly Bandz created its $100 million toy empire through the sale of small rubber pieces of collectable jewelry. Silly Bandz, which hold their shape when not in use, come in a variety of shapes which include basic shapes, as well as holidays, seasons, animals, music, fantasy and sports shapes. Silly Bandz has the perfect band to meet any one person’s unique personality. They have been traded, sold and gift wrapped as something for everyone including, but not limited to, ponytail holders, bookmarks and most notably, jewelry. Even celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker and Mary-Kate Olsen have joined the legions of adoring fans. This simple, yet creative idea has captured the hearts of people of all ages.
The Silly Bandz craze has taken the world by storm, and now a video game will expand on that popularity. “Silly Bandz is a fun, family friendly brand,” said Mark Seremet, Chief Executive Officer of Zoo Games. “We’ve always focused on offering a timely, solid line of family friendly video games, so we’re delighted to partner with a popular brand such as Silly Bandz. Zoo continues to demonstrate its ability to move nimbly in the marketplace and participate quickly in emerging consumer trends.”
Robert Croak, CEO of Silly Bandz’ parent company, BCP Imports, shares Seremet’s sentiments. “Extending our brand with a partner that focuses on fun and casual family entertainment is very exciting. Working with Zoo seems an organic fit, and we look forward to making the titles that come from our relationship a great success.”
Silly Bandz will be available in stores and online in Fall 2010.
