After coming off her latest movie, The Last Song, Miley Cyrus also has an album coming out on June 22nd. The album, “Can’t Be Tamed” will be available for digital download on May 18th and will show up in stores on June 22nd. Hmm, they really are trying to push the digital download version if they are releasing it that much earlier. The title track, which is also the first single will premiere on Myspace Friday and you will start hearing it on the radio May 3rd. There are a bunch of producers on the album which you can read about in the release from Miley’s website.
According to her label “Can’t Be Tamed” is “a self-empowering song in which Miley asserts that she has to stay true to herself in relationships, and it is sure to become an anthem among her legions of fans around the world. There will be two version, one will be a CD/DVD pack and the DVD will contain unreleased footage from the Miley Cyrus Wonder World Tour. Remember Miley has been on record saying this will be the last musical project for some time, but I do not know if I really believe that.
“Miley’s next album, ‘Can’t Be Tamed,’ is coming to stores on June 22!
Miley worked with a number of producers on the album, including John Shanks (Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson). The title track, the album’s first single, premieres Friday on MySpace and will hit radio May 3. “7 Things” collaborators Tim James and Antonina Armato produced and co-wrote the single with the pop star; Robert Hales (Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake) directed the clip for it.
Can’t Be Tamed will also be available for download May 18. The album will come in two versions, one of which will be a combo CD/DVD pack; the DVD will contain never-before-seen footage from Miley’s 2009 World Tour.
