PSP Still A Hot Seller Against Nintendo 3DS

While the Nintendo 3DS is the newest hand held on the block it looks like the Playstation hand held PSP is still reigning supreme.

It appears that the Japanese love their PSP more then their Nintendo 3DS.  For the second week in a row Sony’s PSP has managed to outsell the new Nintendo 3DS hand held – all without the most buzzed about game Monster Hunter a game that ensures several PSP’s get sold.  Monster Hunter is a hit fantasy franchise console video game The player takes on the role of a hunter ina fantasy environment and complete quests by seeking out monsters to hunt or capture.  According to the reports the PSP sold 58,075 units last week whereas Nintendo 3DS only sold 42,979 units.  Some are speculating the weak sales are due to complaints coming from the 3D technology when it is turned on or the complaints about the hefty price tag.

It might be that 2D games are still in and hot or the PSP sales are being attributed to a dating game called Amagami.  But if there is one thing about Playstation is its proven staying power, many are still enjoying their Playstation 2’s and PSP’s.  Which game system do you prefer?
