Wonder Project Expands Into Kids Programming With Journalism-Inspired Series Fluff Piece

In a world where information moves faster than ever, one new preschool series is encouraging its youngest viewers to slow down, ask questions and discover the truth for themselves.

Continuing to expand its growing family entertainment slate, Wonder Project has officially announced its first original children’s series, Fluff Piece, a journalism-inspired musical mystery that will premiere July 9 with a two-season order already in place.

Created by Guatemalan-American actor and producer Sylvia Brindis alongside Tony Award-winning producer and former investigative journalist Shane Snow, the series follows cheerful reporter Fiona Flash and her dog sidekick, Fluff, as they investigate the colorful rumors making headlines around their hometown.

Whether it is tracking down a rooftop Pegasus or solving the mystery behind rainbow-colored puddles, every story begins the same way—with a rumor. It is then up to Fiona, Fluff and the audience at home to follow the clues, ask thoughtful questions and uncover what is really happening.

It is a refreshing premise that places journalism, curiosity and media literacy at the heart of its storytelling. Rather than encouraging children to simply accept what they hear, Fluff Piece invites its young “Newshounds” to think critically, examine the evidence and discover that there is often more to every story than first meets the eye.

That message is reflected behind the scenes as well. Inspired by their own experiences as parents navigating today’s information-rich world, Brindis and Snow created the series to introduce media literacy and critical thinking skills through music, movement and imaginative adventures designed specifically for preschool audiences.

Blending live-action performances, traditional puppetry and real-time animation powered by Unreal Engine technology, every episode also features an original song, with choreography performed by dancers from The Joffrey Ballet Chicago.

Wonder Project has ordered 22 episodes across two seasons, with the first season consisting of 10 episodes followed by a 12-episode second season. Beginning July 9, two new episodes will premiere each week on Wonder Project through Prime Video.

As Wonder Project continues to grow its footprint in family entertainment, Fluff Piece arrives with a premise that feels especially timely—celebrating not just curiosity, but the importance of asking good questions before jumping to conclusions. For a generation growing up surrounded by information, that may be one of the most valuable lessons a preschool series can teach.
