“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” Season Three Teases Its Biggest Adventure Yet

There is even more adventure on the way for Percy Jackson and his friends, and this time the stakes are getting bigger than ever before.

While fans have already followed Percy through two seasons worth of quests, monsters, gods and plenty of unexpected dangers, Disney isn’t slowing down when it comes to bringing Rick Riordan’s beloved book series to the screen.

Now, during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, fans have been treated to their first real look at what is coming next.

During the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the Honda Center, Percy Jackson and the Olympians star Walker Scobell took the stage alongside an army of Artemis’s Hunters and surprise guests Ming-Na Wen, who will play Hera, and Andra Day, who will take on the role of Athena.

But they weren’t there just to celebrate everything that has already happened.

They brought along the first teaser trailer for season three.

And things are about to get intense.

Set to premiere November 20 on Disney+, the third season will adapt The Titan’s Curse, marking the first time the third installment of Riordan’s bestselling Percy Jackson series has been brought to the screen.

While each of Percy’s adventures has brought its own share of danger, The Titan’s Curse is where the larger story begins to grow considerably. And judging by the newly released teaser, Disney is ready to embrace those higher stakes.

This time around, Percy finds himself on a relentless quest to find Annabeth following her sudden disappearance. At the same time, tensions with the Titans are continuing to grow as the looming Great Prophecy begins to take an even larger role in Percy’s story.

According to the prophecy delivered by the Oracle of Delphi, one demigod child of the “Big Three” is destined to either raise Olympus to new heights or bring everything crashing down — with their own life hanging in the balance.

Certainly no pressure there.

The teaser also gives fans their first taste of some of the new characters and challenges entering Percy’s world, while promising a season that is not only larger in scale, but darker and filled with consequences that could have a lasting impact on everything still to come.

And for readers who have been waiting to see The Titan’s Curse finally get its chance on screen, that alone makes this season particularly exciting.

Walker Scobell will once again lead the series as Percy alongside Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Tamara Smart and Levi Chrisopulos. With Ming-Na Wen and Andra Day also joining the growing collection of gods, demigods and other mythological faces filling out this world, Olympus continues to get a little more crowded.

Though perhaps one of the most exciting things about season three is simply how much further into Percy’s story we are getting.

After years of fans hoping to see more of Riordan’s books properly brought to life, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is officially heading into territory that has never made it to the screen before.

There are more monsters to face, more secrets waiting to be uncovered and a prophecy hanging over everything.

Percy’s next quest is almost here.

Season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres November 20 on Disney+, with the first two seasons available to stream now.
