Swapped Coming To Netflix

Swapped, the upcoming animated film, will be coming to Netflix on May 1st as a small woodland creature and majestic bird who are enemies end up with a body swap and must team up to survive the adventure to get things back to normal. Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple will be the stars of this Freak Friday type adventure set in the woods and it looks to be a pretty developed world with some interesting creatures as both of them experience live from a different angle.

Nature’s sworn enemies are teaming up for a wild adventure.

The duo will star in the upcoming animated film Swapped, a Freaky Friday-like adventure set in the wild, launching May 1. Netflix and Skydance Animation have revealed stills (above and below) from the film, which was formerly known as Pookoo. Jordan and Temple join Cedric the Entertainer, Tracy Morgan, Justina Machado, Ambika Mod, and Lolly Adefope, who will also lend their voices to the comedy.

“Swapped is a body swap movie unlike anything audiences have seen before,” says director Nathan Greno. “In this world, the creatures of the valley exist on a spectrum between plant and animal, creating a wild ecosystem. At the center of the film is the smallest creature in the valley, voiced by Michael B. Jordan, who suddenly finds himself swapped into a completely different body and thrust into a massive, unpredictable world that turns his entire life upside down and forces him to experience life from a completely different perspective.”

What is Swapped about?
Head deep inside the animal kingdom, where a tiny woodland creature (voiced by Jordan) and a regal bird (voiced by Temple) find themselves in a body swap mishap. The two sworn enemies are forced to walk in each other’s feathers and fur as they embark on a wild journey together.

When does Swapped come out?
The film flaps to Netflix on May 1.

Who’s the creative team behind Swapped?
Directed by Nathan Greno (Tangled), the story is scripted by John Whittington (The Lego Batman Movie) and writing partners Christian Magalhães and Robert Snow (DuckTales, WondLa). John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews will serve as producers.
