Fans of Disney’s beloved princess-in-training are eagerly awaiting Sofia’s return to screens. A forthcoming animated sequel to the hit 2010 series Sofia the First is slated to arrive in the coming months, and Disney is preparing for her grand return by bringing her magical origin story, Once Upon a Princess, to Disney+ in late February.

Once upon a time in the kingdom of Enchancia, Sofia became a princess. When her mother, Miranda, marries King Roland II, Sofia must learn the royal ropes. Helping her along the way are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy—Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather—her loyal royal steward, Baileywick, and a group of charming woodland creatures led by the wise-talking rabbit, Clover. Throughout her journey, Sofia discovers that looking like royalty isn’t all that difficult, but being a true princess comes from the heart.
