Two Expansions Add New Playable Villains to Award-Winning Gameplay

Today Ravensburger, acclaimed publisher behind award-winning board games and high-quality toys and puzzles, announces its 2026 plans for the award-winning Villainous board game franchise that allows players to immerse themselves in Disney stories from the antagonist’s point of view. The publisher will release two new expansions to its global Disney Villainous line, which will both be available later this year. One of the new expansions includes character and stories from a live-action, cult-classic film.
“We can’t wait for Villainous fans to dive into these extra devious new matchups,” said Lysa Penrose, International Product Manager of Family Games at Ravensburger. “Steel yourself, because our next expandalone is packed with back-stabbing and betrayal, and what’s more diabolical than that?”
Villainous expansion games in 2026 will include:
Disney Villainous: Success at Any Cost will introduce Ernesto de la Cruz from Disney Pixar’s “Coco” and Prince Hans from Disney’s “Frozen,” to the franchise when the expandalone debuts in July. Players can face these dashing double-crossers against each other in a two-player match out of the box or combine them with other Disney Villainous games to include up to 4 players. In the United States, a special edition of the game, featuring packaging design inspired by traditional papel picado art style often seen during festivals like Día de Los Muertos. The edition, which also features a special finish on the sculpted mover for Ernesto de la Cruz, will be available exclusively at Target. (Ages 10+ / MSRP $22.99)
Later in the year, get your game table prepared for Halloween. Ravensburger will add a frightful fan favorite to the Disney Villainous game system. Disney Villainous: Come, We Fly! brings the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” to the game as a playable Villain that can be added to other Disney Villainous products for new gameplay. This marks the franchise’s second live-action playable Villain, interpreting the cult-classic coven through all-new illustrations, unique gameplay mechanics, and of course, Villainous’ signature sculpted movers. (Ages 10+ / MSRP $14.99)
“Last year, when Davy Jones [from Disney’s ‘Pirate of the Caribbean’] joined Villainous, he fittingly unlocked a treasure trove of possible playable Villains from beloved Disney stories,” said Penrose. “When it comes to family-friendly Halloween movies, ‘Hocus Pocus’ is as iconic as it gets, so we knew we wanted to conjure the Sanderson Sisters this fall.”
More details on the game, including character objectives and gameplay, will be revealed ahead of the games’ launches later this year.
