Buzz Lightyear Back In Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade This Year

Buzz Lightyear is back as he flies once again in the 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2025 as we ramp up for the release of the newest Toy Story Movie. We did see Buzz back in the 2013 in the parade, but this year we will be getting a new balloon, that has a whole new design to it. We just love Toy Story and the whole franchise so we are really hyped up to see the new movie on June 19th of 2026, but having Buzz in the parade will have everyone talking and we might even get some news about the movie as well.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s beloved classic Toy Story, the cornerstone film will be rereleased in theaters beginning September 12, giving audiences the chance to experience the groundbreaking animated adventure in its original format. Tickets go on sale on September 2.

It was also revealed that Buzz Lightyear will once again fly to infinity and beyond during this year’s 99th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® for the first time since 2013. The iconic new Buzz balloon features a brand-new design.

The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with today….electronics! Directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi, “Toy Story 5” opens only in theaters on June 19, 2026.
