STUGO – “Diorama Drama / Goat Racket” (Disney)
LARRY, CHIP MANHANDS, PLINY, MERIAN, SARA

We have high hopes for StuGo as it seems like it will really be up our alley with this crazy adventures on a tropical island with all sorts of monsters. The series will premiere on January 11th with two episodes and then new episodes weekly on Sundays. It will also make its way to Disney+ in the spring of 2025. For all of us that are super excited and can’t wait until the 11th, you will be able to catch a “Sneako Peeko” look at StuGo on January 1st. The creative team does include Sunil Hall (Gravity Fall fame) so that makes us feel real good, the show also has some Gravity Fall vibes going on as well.

We have watched the trailer a ton and our feelings are the following. First off we love the characters, we love the animation style, we love the backgrounds, wait we just love it all so far. You know our feelings though we are hopeful that it is a serialized show and there is some sort of end game in the story, animation series just lack that sometimes and we hope that we have a great story here to go along with all of the things we like so far. We really won’t be able to tell until we see a few episodes of StuGo, but we sure are hopeful.

“StuGo” is an original animated series about six overambitious middle schoolers who are tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist. Now they’re stuck for three months on a wild tropical island with mind-reading manatees, giant fighting fungi and fashion-forward mutants ― less academia than they’d hoped for, but a lot more adventure.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
