The Mysterious Benedict Society on Disney+ is going to be HUGE and we were lucky enough to get to start to Seth Carr who stars as Stick in the series.

He is best known for playing Young Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) in the blockbuster film Black Panther, starred in Netflix and WWE’s collaboration film The Main Event, and the hit series, “Knight Squad”. His other credits include Netflix’s “Free Rein”, Amazon’s “Bosch”, and the thriller Breaking In, opposite Gabrielle Union. In his free time, Seth enjoys playing basketball and video games with friends. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

BSCKids: Tell us a little bit about your character in “The Mysterious Benedict Society” and how you get the role?

Sett Carr: Stick is a very intelligent, book smart, kind-hearted, and super nervous person who tries to do the right thing. I went through a few rounds of auditions, chemistry reads, and producer sessions before I landed the role of Sticky. It was well worth it.

Did you read any of the books before trying out for the character? What about after?

I read the first book before I got the role. I didn’t want to read the other books because I wanted to leave some mystery and surprise for myself.

Do you have anything in common with your character?

Sticky and I have a couple of things in common. We both enjoy reading books and gaining knowledge.

Is there anything special you do to get into character?

I wouldn’t say I did anything “special.” I always read my scripts and went over my lines as soon as I received them.

Can you tell us any funny behind-the-scenes things that happened while filming?

In one of the scenes, I had to eat steak and in between takes they asked me to use the spit bucket but I just kept eating the steaks I must’ve eaten five steaks the entire day.

Who do you feel has taught you the most in your career so far?

I would say my mom has taught me the most in my career so far because she has been with me from day one and she also was the one who got me into acting. She also is my acting coach.

If you could guest star (or guest voice) on another Disney show which one would it be and why?

If I could guest star on one Disney show, it would have to be High School Musical: The Musical: The Series because I enjoy that show and I think it would be very cool.

Tell us something people would be surprised to learn about you.

Something that might surprise you about me is that when I’m not acting I LOVE to play video games. When I have time off, that’s what I’m doing.

Who is your favorite basketball player?

My favorite basketball player would definitely have to be Steph Curry. I’ve always been a fan of the 3 point shot.

What does a normal day for you look like right now?

A normal day for me looks like right now is to wake up, take a shower, and then work on school. When my school work is complete, I play some video games until dinner. After dinner, maybe some TV or YouTube then bedtime.

Why should everyone tune in to watch “The Mysterious Benedict Society”?

Everyone should tune in to watch The Mysterious Benedict Society because it’s an awesome show filled with mystery, action, adventure, and the show is for all ages.

Make sure to check out Sett Carr in The Mysterious Benedict Society streaming on Disney+ on June 25th, and thanks to Seth for taking the time to speak to us about this very anticipated series.

Together they’ll uncover the mystery to the truth. The #MysteriousBenedictSociety, an Original Series, starts streaming June 25 on #DisneyPlus

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
