A new generation of kids and their parents are going to be introduced to Micky Mouse Funhouse with the debut primetime special “Mickey the Brave!” on July 16th on Disney Junior, to be followed by the premiere of the series on August 20th. This show will introduce us to Funny, who lives with a few friends and can transform into anything to help Mickey Mouse and his pals in all sorts of adventures. So insides the funhouse there are Adventures Doors which lead to different worlds and Funny will also transform Mickey and friends into characters that allow them to interact with the characters. We will see the team in the kingdom of Majestica, adventure in a western world, and even have fun in an underwater world with mer-people. We like that fact that young kids are going to get introduced to travelling between worlds, this may help them as they get older and start watching other series in the Marvel universe.

The regular series will have two 11 minute episodes (excluding specials they do) that have a dance break in the middle of them. Not only will this dance break happen but the “Wiggle Giggle” song will happen each story to help the team get focused. This will be a quite catchy tune that parents can use to help their own kids get focused. It will be fun to see what sort of adventures happen in this series.

“Mickey Mouse Funhouse” debuts with a primetime special “Mickey the Brave!” on FRIDAY, JULY 16, on Disney Junior (7:30 p.m. EDT/PDT), followed by the series premiere FRIDAY, AUG. 20, on both Disney Channel and Disney Junior (8:00 a.m. EDT/PDT).

Premiering FRIDAY, AUG. 20, with a simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney Junior (8:00 a.m. EDT/PDT), “Mickey Mouse Funhouse” continues the Disney Junior legacy of highlighting Disney’s #1 star, Mickey Mouse, and his pals for the preschool audience. The series introduces a new character, Funny, an enchanted talking playhouse voiced by Harvey Guillén (“What We Do in the Shadows”), who takes them on adventures to unique lands that inspire the imagination, introducing a whole new generation to the captivating world of these beloved characters. The series guest cast includes Jenifer Lewis (ABC’s “black-ish”) and GRAMMY® Award nominee Mickey Guyton.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
