DUCKTALES – “The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades!” With Goldie O’Gilt And Rockerduck

DuckTales is back with an episode, “The Forbidden Fountain of the Foreverglades!” that brings back Goldie O’Gilt and Rockerduck as Scrooge and Goldie are turned into teenagers. They will have to try and beat Rockerduck to the Fountain of Youth before it is taken advantage of. We get both Allison Janney and John Hodgman playing Goldie and Rockerduck respectively in the episode and we are happy to welcome them both back to the show. The boys are also in trouble as there is some danger at their spring break hotel, where Nestor Carbonell is guest staring as the hotel owner.

For the writers of DuckTales can we just let you know that we really prefer the episodes where Scrooge is involved in the storyline, we just loved “The Trickening!” and again find that sometimes there are just too many characters trying to get a slice of the screen time for our liking. We do love the fact that the Fountain of Youth is part of the classic storyline for Scrooge and makes sense to get a new take on it for this reboot, and anytime we get to see Goldie is a win for us as fans. The picture for the episode gives us a very youthful Scrooge and Goldie so at first we thought this was something from the past, but based on the episode summary, they are turned into teenagers, and we wonder if they will want to turn back into adults after it is all over.
