Cupcake Championship is a new series on Food Network with host Kardea Brown and judge Maureen McCormick (with guest judges) that will be a five-episode series. Each episode will have four cupcake experts compete in two rounds with a large cash prize to the winner, with judge Maureen McCormick, and special guest judges that will include Nacho Aguirre, Lerome Campbell, Amirah Kassem, Stella Parks, Gesine Prado and Joshua John Russell.
Cupcake Championship sounds like another fun take of making cupcakes with a shorter series to keep us interested in the show. We wonder what the differentiator in the show will be, themed, timed, special ingredients, as in the press release the word “ingenuity” was used. If all works out we may even see a Season 2 of Cupcake Championship coming if the numbers make sense, so for now just make sure to tune in July 1st and let us know what you think.
