Amphibia Gravity Falls Anne Pacifica Connection

Amphibia and Gravity Falls have some things in common, one of them being Matt Braly who worked on Gravity Falls and is the creator for Amphibia. As things get ramped up for the Amphibia premieres on June 17, 2019 on Disney Channel we are getting all sorts of fun information from Matt and the team.

The most intesting bit of information for us is the connection between Anne Boonchuy from Amphibia and Pacifica Northwest from Gravity Falls. Matt tells us how his work on Pacifica Northwest who had a great redemption arc on Gravity Falls was an inspiration for the character of Anne. We really did become attached to Pacifica at the end and he is hoping to get people rooting for Anne as well, which will be easy as we love her character already.

On to the Frog Facts, which are bits of information about the show and the creation process. The first is where Matt talks about the summers spent in Thailand, which helped him create Amphibia, how Sprig pink coloring was based on the real-life Strawberry poison-dart frog, and how there are monster version of garden creatures in the show.

Make sure to tune into Amphibia in a few days from now as the show is so very good.

Some of #Amphibia creator @radrappy’s inspirations for Anne stemmed from his work on the character Pacifica Northwest in #GravityFalls. He wanted Anne to go through a similar redemption arc & become a character people rooted for. The series premieres June 17 on #DisneyChannel.

#FrogFacts: Creator @radrappy spent summers visiting his mother’s family in Thailand, where he felt like a frog-out-of-water learning to adapt in unfamiliar surroundings. This experience inspired him to create #Amphibia, which premieres June 17 on #DisneyChannel and in #DisneyNOW.

Have three kids, two boys (18 and 16) and a girl (12). I had a grandfather that watched cartoons and read the Sunday funnies until he passed. I feel the same way and continue to watch the Disney channel in my 40s. Check out our BSCKids youtube channel Current favorite show is Amphibia.
