THE ROCKETEER On Disney Junior Coming In 2019

While The Rocketeer on Disney Junior was announced a while back, we finally are getting closer to the release of the show in 2019. While we don’t have a date for it just yet, it seems that Disney is getting ready to start ramping up some PR for the new show. The animated series will be for younger children and their families and is based on the comic book series by Dave Stevens, “The Rocketeer” as it follows Kit.

We learn that Kit receives a package on her birthday and the information that she is to be a Rocketeer with the ability to fly a rocket-powered jet pack as she fits crime. She will have the help of her friend Tesh who is totally into gadgets and her uncle Ambrose who is an airplane mechanic.

We can only imagine all the cool toys that The Rocketeer cartoon series is going to have and look forward to being able to watch the show when it debuts. There will be a lot of great material for them to draw from as well as many original stories that they will get to tell with the animated series.

Inspired by Dave Stevens’ popular comic book series, “The Rocketeer” follows Kit, a young girl who receives a surprise package on her birthday revealing she’s next in line to become the Rocketeer, a legendary superhero who has the ability to fly with the help of a rocket-powered jet pack. Armed with her cool new gear and secret identity, Kit is ready to take flight and save the day with her gadget-minded best friend, Tesh, and airplane mechanic uncle, Ambrose, who join her on her epic adventures.
