There is a new Amphibia sneak peek that was released in the past few days as it debuted during the Disney Channel Fan Fest. This gives all of us some more to talk about with the upcoming show. It was also announced that Justin Felbinger will also be the voice of Sprig Plantar who becomes friends with Anne Boonchuy.
After stealing a mysterious music box, 13-year-old, Anne Boonchuy (Brenda Song) is magically transported to the world of Amphibia, a wild marshland full of talking frog-people. With the help of an excitable young frog named Sprig, Anne will transform from monster to hero and discover the first true friendship of her life!
In the sneak peek we get to look at the scene where Anne and Sprig get to meet and start their friendship. There is a lot to like about this video starting with the fact we are in love with the fact that Anne is going to be voiced my Brenda Song. We get to really hear her interact with Sprig (voiced by Justin) and it brings back great memories of London Tipton, one of our favorite Disney characters that was played by Song.
But at the start of the Amphibia video there is a lot from the animation standpoint that is going on. We love the style and coloring, but more importantly it is the backgrounds that really give this show the feel that is needed. We also learn right from the top of the show that Anne is super resourceful, and there is a lot of humor to be had as well, as Sprig and Anne go back and forth. The world of Amphibia is not without its own perils though and both Sprig and Anne have to run away from a monster in the scene.
We are hoping that there is a larger story at hand here with Amphibia like maybe with a large villain and with Anne trying to find a way to get home.
#ICYMI: #Amphibia’s @Radrappy (creator/executive producer) debuted a sneak peek of the series during #DisneyChannelFanFest & announced that @JustinFelbinger will voice Sprig Plantar. The series premieres this summer on #DisneyChannel and #DisneyNOW.
You can watch the sneak peek below and let us know what you think about Amphibia.
So after all of this we are even more excited to see Amphibia this summer and hope that it lives up to the hype surrounding it.
