Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors With BooBoo Stewart

Marvel Rising is a multi-platform animated franchise that had six animated shorts that will be followed by the hour and twenty minute long Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors movie premiering on Disney XD/Disney Channel on September 30th. The movie will be broadcast on both channels at 10 p.m. EDT and will feature voice talent by And BooBoo Stewart among others.

The Marvel Rising brand will have a focus on “inclusivity, empowerment, and relatability for a tween audience” and we are excited to see a show with this focus.

Dove Cameron will be playing Gwen Stacy, AKA Ghost-Spider, Skai Jackson will have the voice role for Gloria Grant (both only appearing in Marvel Rising: Initiation shorts not the film), and BooBoo Stewart as Exile in the film. The rest of the cast for both the shorts and the film includes: Chloe Bennet as Quake, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, Tyler Posey as Inferno, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Kim Raver as Captain Marvel, Ming-Na Wen as Hala, and Dee Bradley Baker as Tippy Toe & Lockjaw and Steven Weber as Captain George Stacy. Phew, a long list of talent and characters for the film and shorts.

MARVEL RISING: SECRET WARRIORS – Powered teens Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Quake, Patriot, America Chavez, and Inferno join forces as an unlikely, but formidable crew of aspiring heroes. When a threat no one could have expected bears down on the Marvel Universe, this ragtag, untrained band of teens have no choice but to rise together and prove to the world that sometimes the difference between a “hero” and “misfit” is just in the name.

BooBoo Stewart’s character Exile is a handsome young inhuman from the bio (surprise surprise) who can use Darkforce energy to create weapons as well as allow him to teleport. This looks like a great movie and who wants to see some Squirrel Girl!
