Halloween Cake-Off from Food Network is coming this October and it is a bit different from what we have watched in terms of baking shows. It seems these four bakers will not only have to create some cakes in the studio, but from what we are hearing they will also have to do something in their own bakeries. These cakes will then be judged in presentation, transformation and taste to determine the winner of the contest.

With Duff Goldman hosting this hour-long special the first challenge in the studio will be the bakers incorporating “a surprise selection of candies and treats” to try and win over the judges. After that only three will remain and they get to head back to their bakeries to design their Halloween-themed cake that has to transform from good to evil. If they can impress Waylynn Lucas and Pichet Ong they will take home the prize and be crowned the winner of Halloween Cake Off.

We are excited to hear that the contestants will be able to head back to their bakeries to make the final piece as they will be in their home element and have all their tools at their disposal. How will each team have their cake transform? That is going to be the fun part and with Food Network saying they can even have their cake melt to transform, that opens up some interesting ideas.

Premieres Monday, October 8th at 10pm ET/PT

Four professional bakers face off in an unconventional competition to find out who is the master of creating the most ghoulish, outlandish and spooky Halloween cakes. The competitors have to prove their expertise both in the studio and in their own bakeries, and the baker whose cakes most impress the judges in all the competition categories — presentation, transformation and taste — is crowned the winner.

Mother of three. That does not include the dog or my husband either! We have a full household of fun and we just love trying new products of all varieties. May not watch as many kids shows as the rest of the family though.
