FANCY NANCY – “Bonjour Butterfly” – (Disney Junior)
NANCY, BREE

When you have a hugely successful book that gets turned into an animated series, there are always the people who want to look at how faithful to the book series will the animated series be. We have seen this happen countless times on Disney Junior as they turn some of the best books series into television shows.

The latest books for this to happen to are the Fancy Nancy series, which aired today, and below you can see an interview with some of the people working on the animated series as well as the author and illustrator of the Fancy Nancy books, Jane O’Connor & Robin Preiss Glasser.

Fancy Nancy – Keeping The Book Legacy INTERVIEW

We get to hear from Robin and Jane, as they go through the Fancy Nancy Production Offices, as they see all of the art of the animated series. Jane also talks about how Nancy is just made for Disney Junior as a character because she is so relatable. The Executive Producer, Jamie Mitchell, talks about how they took the series in a different direction by going with a 3D look for the animation. The series will also open up the story a lot more as they explore the characters in greater depth.

We look forward to seeing more of Fancy Nancy on television as we get to learn more about her character, family and friends. They have put together a great voice cast to go with what we think is some of the best animation we have seen in a while.

Mother of three. That does not include the dog or my husband either! We have a full household of fun and we just love trying new products of all varieties. May not watch as many kids shows as the rest of the family though.
